About the album „Elektronische Philosophie“ (Electronic Philosophy)

Since 2006, Uwe Cremer has been publishing his Kraut-, Art- and Spacerock inspired sound sculptures under the name Level π. To him, music is like telling stories.

On his fifth album "Elektronische Philosophie" those tales take you on various journeys: with the TEE through the night, into Don Quixote‘s brain, on a long trip from galaxy to galaxy, or even through time. Between the journeys, you can take an acoustic-sounding break, philosophize with the Berlin School, or just chill at home. Hypnotic sequences, analog or electronic rhythms, Cremer's soulful guitar and various electronic sounds and effects shape the album. Moogsounds, string synthesizer, organ and mellotron show where Cremer's musical heart beats. In the spirit of a modern version of Krautrock, he experiments with loops and trip hop beats and fuses them with elements of classic EM. He skilfully combines sequences à la Berlin School with rock influences, or he creates dreamy atmospheres with synthesizers and reverb drenched guitars, eventally merging into breakbeat driven passages. Track by track, „Elektronische Philosophie“ leads the listener gently through Cremer's visually stunning musical cosmos.
